Jay answers your frequently asked questions about metal fabrication, welding and the services JVK provide to customers around London and the South East. 

Question: I only want something small fabricated for my house?

Answer: We have the ability to fabricate both small items and big items so it really is a case of no job is too small.  We like the variety!

Question: I have an idea / rough sketch is this good enough to get something fabricated?

Answer:  Yes.  Whilst professional drawings and dimensions are obviously the ideal document to work from we appreciate some items can be fabricated from a simple sketch.  We’re always a call away if you are unsure of any element and need help or suggestions in finalising your design.  

Question: I have an idea of what I want but am unsure if it will be too expensive to progress?

Answer:  If you have a sketch we will always be able to give you a no obligation quotation to help you decide if something is worth progressing.

Question: Can my item be any colour?

Answer:  Pretty much.  Please see our RAL colour chart to choose your best option or call us if you have any queries.

Question: Can my item be both galvanized and colour painted?

Answer: Yes.  It is always recommended that external items are galvanized and painted.

Question:  I have a design but am unsure what metal to use?

Answer: The chances are you will have a couple of options but please call us if you require any help with finalising your design.

Question: How quickly does it take from design to fabrication?

Answer:  This depends on a lot of variables but if you have a design / idea we will always be able to tell you quite quickly how long it will take.

Question: Where do JVK Fabrication & Welding currently work / provide services?

Answer:  We currently work / provide services predominately in the south of England including Surrey, Sussex, Kent and London including Redhill, Reigate, Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead, Brighton, Guildford, Tunbridge Wells, Croydon, Sevenoaks and Maidstone.

Question:  How do I pay for my goods?

Answer:  All credit is subject to approval.  Our customer base is a blend of trade credit and customers who pay on receipt of goods.   

Question: I have a design but need help with a few technical issues before progressing?

 Answer:  There is always someone in the office or on the end of the phone to help with any design issues. 

Question: Do you have a recommended architect / interior designer? 

Answer: We work with many architects / interior designers so will always be happy to give you a list on request.

Question: Can JVK Fabrication & Welding pick up and drop off my metal work?

Answer: Yes.  We have a fleet of vans and a flatbed truck that can pick up and deliver all sorts of shapes and sizes.
